MADRID, SPAIN (December 6, 2019)–What impacts will climate change have on the ocean economy? That’s the question a new blue paper from the High Level Panel for a Sustainable Ocean Economy seeks to answer. How much will tourism be affected by declining coral reefs? What about jobs and revenue from fishing and aquaculture? Which countries will be impacted the most?

The paper’s findings will be announced on Friday, December 6 at 14:30 CET in COP25 Press Conference Room Mocha, Hall 4 by report co-authors Ove Hoegh-Guldberg (University of Queensland) and Elene Ojea (Universidade de Vigo), and ocean experts Vidar Helgesen (Norwegian government), Taholo Kami (Fijian government), and Timothy Fitzgerald (EDF).

You can view a livestream of the press briefing here.
